Abstract:With the encryption of the urban rail transit line network and improvement of service quality, the numbers of metro depots are constructed. But the land for metro depots is difficult to be implemented because?it takes up too much space. In order to reduce damage to urban planning and restore the original function of urban planning, lots of depots adopt the form of Cover Development in first-tier cities. The purpose of this paper is to discuss how to combine real estate development for superstructure of metro depots with functions under the cover closely, and how to carry out the existing and planning boundary conditions for the metro depots with secondary development for cover plate so that the metro depots can be successfully landed in the urban core area in the future. Based on the analysis of the design scheme of Guanggang New Town Depot of Metro Line 10 in Guangzhou, this paper summarizes the features and matters needing attention in the integrated design of the under covered depots and the secondary-development cover schemes, which can provide reference for the future site selection and scheme design of metro depots in the core area of urban planning.
