截至 2023 年底，中国内地共有 28 个省份的 59 个城市开通城轨交通运营线路 338 条，运营线路总规模达11 232.65 km，其中，地铁线路 8 547.67 km，占比 76.10%，全自动运营线路 1 052.43 km，占已投运线路总里程的9.37%。2023 年当年共新增城轨交通运营线路 53 条(段)，新投运线路总长度 884.55 km，其中，新增地铁线路539.50 km，新增全自动运行线路 252.79 km。新增运营线路共涉及 7 种系统制式，分布在 30 座城市中，其中有 3 座城市为 2023 年首次运营城轨交通。2023 年全年完成客运量再创历史新高，日均客运量首次突破 8 000 万人次。

This paper provides a comprehensive overview of Chinese mainland’s urban rail transit development in 2023. Bythe end of the year, 28 provinces and 59 cities had 338 urban rail transit lines in operation, spanning 11,232.65 km. Subwaylines made up 76.10% of this length, with 8,547.67 km, followed by fully automatic operation (FAO) lines with 9.37% and1,052.43 km. The network expanded by 884.55 km in 2023, with 53 new lines (or sections) opening, including 539.50 km ofsubway lines and 252.79 km of FAO lines. The new lines involved 7 different system types and 30 cities, 3 of which inauguratedtheir first urban rail transit systems. In 2023, Chinese mainland’s urban rail transit network also set a new record of annualpassenger volume, surpassing 80 million passenger trips per day on average.
